On  Friday, 28 June, District Governor Elect, Tim Klar and President Greg Russell, inducted our new President, Susanne Marie, at the annual Changeover Dinner held at the Mt Osmond Golf Club.  Susanne has distinguished herself over the years though her substantial engagement with the community and her previous club roles in leadership positions, including that of President. A very popular appointment.

To witness President Susanne's elevation her family joined us for the very special occasion.  L to R they are son, Andrew, sister Moira, Susanne with her Chain of Office, and sons David and Shaun

Susanne then, in turn, introduced the members of the 2019-20 Board of Directors.

Pictured above (L-R),  Dan Edmonds, Secretary; Pauline Annear, Treasurer and Director-Community Service; Susanne Marie, President; John Osborne, Director-Club Administration; Robert Koehne, Director-International and Vocational and Greg Russell, Immediate Past President.  Veronica Forsayeth, Director-Youth and Vocational was overseas and unable to attend.
In front of a hundred members, partners, guests and friends, to enthusiastic acclaim, a prestigious and widely respected Paul Harris Fellowship, was awarded to Pauline Annear and to Neil Wickens.  Examples both of living our creed, "Service Beyond Self!".
Paul Harris, with 3 others, founded Rotary some 114 years ago.  The Award, bearing his name, is accompanied by a significant donation from the club in the name of the recipient to the Rotary Foundation.

Pauline Annear, Treasurer and Director-Community Service, received her parchment from Tim Klar, District Governor Elect..

Neil Wickens, a Past President, was also appointed a Paul Harris Fellow for his tremendous contribution to he local community and Rotary and to the the Rotary Club of Stirling over many years.

David Hogan, who has devoted much more than his share of time and effort to the Club and to the community, earned him recognition both as Paul Harris Fellow, and the winner of the Club's memorial Scott Hosking Trophy for 2019.  Unfortunately, he was unable to attend but all assembled, enthusiastically endorsed this entirely appropriate double recognition.

As the following images attest, the evening was a great success being both a celebration of past achievements and a great start to the new Rotary year!
