On Monday we heard from PDG Barbara Wheatcroft who spoke about Australian Rotary Health which is funded by Rotary Clubs across the country. It is one of the largest non-governmental charities supporting mental health research. While mental health is a major focus, ARH also sponsors general Health research as well as offering Indigenous health, rural medicine and nursing scholarships.
AHR this year celebrated its 40th anniversary and has to date contributed $33 million to research and study. Most clubs host an annual “Hat Day” to remind all to seek and receive support and not to “keep it under your hat”.
We learned that more than four million Australians are affected by mental illness every year, while almost half of us will be affected in our lifetime.
President Stephen and Club Service Director John Osborne thank PDG Barbara Wheatcroft
with a 750ml dose of our very special COVID-19 vaccine.
Next Meeting
On Monday we will continue the important work started two weeks ago to develop priorities and an action plan to guide us throughout 2021-22.
Please put some quality thought into YOUR ideas about how to move the club forward and how we can "Serve to Change Lives."

Secrets and Hidden Meanings of Logos
Ever wondered why the apple has a bite out of it?
In fact, without the bite, the logo looked like a cherry so an apple for a logo was discarded until someone suggested the bite. Genius!
Guess that's why the telecommunications company Orange decided their logo could not be an orange either in case it was mistaken for the sun!!
How about Amazon?
Doesn't the arrow mean they deliver quickly to you?
Nope. Look carefully where the arrow starts and ends. The deliberate hidden message is that they stock everything from A to Z!
