In line with one of my goals this year, to encourage and improve inter-Rotary relationships, I have developed a connection with the President of the Rotary Clubs of Onkaparinga, Mt Barker and Goolwa.
The Goolwa President and two members attended our meeting last month to hear Dave Cockshell talk about “Donations in Kind”. His club also placed copies of ythe HSAFD posters in businesses around Goolwa as well as offering volunteer help on the days. Goolwa also encourages inter-Club volunteering as we are all Rotarians giving to the community. To that end, Jane and I have volunteered on behalf of Stirling Rotary to help them out at their upcoming Open Garden Day.
Imagine if all Clubs were able to pool resources in an organised way. It is not hard to imagine what we could achieve!
On behalf of the Club I would also like to give a BIG congratulations to Pauline Annear who has recently been approved as a JP. Congratulations Pauline!
