Upcoming Club Meetings and Events

Keep an eye on the Events Calendar because we are coming into a busy period with plenty of distractions, so check back regularly for updates.
Feedback from members about holding Committee meetings on the first Monday of the month has proven to be very positive.  The opportunity for input, discussion and planning over a good meal seems to be welcome.
Normally, our next rostered Committee night is on Monday, 2 November, but Dick Wilson has managed to secure a special guest speaker, Chris Sedunary from the CFS State Operations Centre.  He will brief us on planning for the bushfire season, a timely topic, and what all of us should do now so we, our families and communities stay safe.
Directors are being asked to organise separate meetings for Committees, perhaps at 5:30 before the meeting or at another time and place in the preceding week.
...and of course, Monday is our annual Bonfire Night.  Please remember it is BYOG and guests are asked to provide a dessert or salad for about 6 people.

Sculpture for Interiors and Gardens IV

Meticulous planning for this year's event is all but complete and activity has ramped up for the opening on Friday.  Members, sculptors and their invited guests will have an opportunity preview the exhibition before the official opening that night.  Please RSVP to Jan at
In recognition of the standing of the sculptors and the especially, high quality of the pieces being displayed this year, through Donna Reid, Assoc Prof Jane Ruskin has agreed to open the event.
A HUGE thanks to Neil who, with Tim, Colin and Rob H, repainted all the plinths for the Sculpture Exhibition and then organised a convoy of trucks and trailers to convey them to Stangate House on Sunday!

The Four Way Test
Of all the things we think, say and do
Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
