Last Monday's Meeting

Monday's meeting was devoted to consideration of future directions for the club.
President Stephen led a lively discussion with active participation of all members present. A wide range of possible actions was developed and a team will be tasked with analysing all the suggestions.  They will then put forward a a summary of the suggestions to allow a more focused debate about the way(s) forward.

Next Meeting

Rob Hill has arranged a visit the Stirling branch of the CFS (behind the Stirling Theatre).  The meeting will start at the special time of 7:00pm but should, finish by about 8:30.  We will share a pizza dinner upon arrival after which we will get a briefing on their activities and a tour the facilities.

The Next One After That

Monday, 6 September is Committee Night.  As Community Director Pauline will be unable to attend, apologies to Don Reid, please, by phone or email to dre00249@bigpond.net.au

The Travelers' Tale Continues

We had an eventful 8 days in Perth when we had get the car in for an urgent recall from Jeep -all ok now with new tyres as they were getting thin after 48000km since the last lot.

We caught up with my cousin here and had a few days with good friends we met in Oman 30 years ago.

Now in Margaret River via the Wellington Dam which features, it is claimed, the largest mural in the world. Really nice.
Yesterday, the 22nd, we went to Leeuwin lighthouse, tallest on mainland Australia, then to Lake Cave with its hanging table which is very pretty.  Then off for the obligatory drink and cheese platter.

Regards to all from Malcolm

The (Continuing) Story Behind Famous Logos

Did you think the orange circle is meant to be the sun?   Actually, it is the front wheel of a bicycle and the "o" in "Tour " is the back one.  The rider is hunched over powering away and the "u" is his seat!

This one might be a little easier.   Afficianados of  the Grand Prix circuit would recognise this.  It is an early edition of the F-1 Brand, but did you all see the "1" hidden in plain sight?  Once you see it, you cannot un-see it!

The Four Way Test
Of all the things we think, say and do

Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
